Jim Bowers tries to regain his composure while speaking at a memorial service for his wife Veronica "Roni" and seven-month-old daughter Charity at the Calvary Church in Fruitport, Michigan. Veronica and her daughter were killed when a small plane the family was aboard was shot down by the Peruvian government on a drug interdiction mission. Her husband Jim and their eight-year-old son Cory survived the crash. The family was in Peru doing missionary work. Mother and daughter share the same casket.
